On February 24th, 2020, the Order of Chartered Accountants organized the ceremony of its 2nd edition of the Research Prize, in Casablanca.
This consecration aims to encourage research in the multidisciplinary fields of accounting expertise and to provide a high-quality knowledge in other spheres such as governance, risk management, organizational performance, and strategic leadership.
The scientific committee has awarded this year the research work, PhD thesis and dissertation of chartered accounting, bringing an impactful contribution of quality to the knowledge in the fields of public accounting.
More than 40 applications were submitted to the scientific committee composed of 20 experts in research. The award ceremony of the 2nd edition was marked by the presence of the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the President of the French Accounting Standards Authority, several figures from university research and members of the profession.
Laila RIZKI, Chartered Accountant DPLE-Groupe ISCAE
The prize in the “Accounting Expertise” category went to Laila RIZKI, graduate of Groupe ISCAE for her dissertation entitled: “IFRS 16 Leasing contracts: Major Issues for Companies, Application Methods and Proposal for a Transition Guide for Chartered Accountants and Statutory Auditors”, carried out under the direction of the chartered accountant-DPLE Mr. Abdeslam BERRADA ALLAM.
