On October 2nd, 2019, ISCAE-RABAT organized, in partnership with the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE), the Euro-Mediterranean Forum of Institutes of Economic Sciences (FEMISE) and ECORYS Netherlands, a workshop on the theme:
“Assessment of the impact of trade chapters on the Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreement”
This workshop is part of the evaluation of the trade pillar of the Association Agreement between Morocco and the European Union, in force since 2000.
The meeting purpose is information exchange, in particular on the methodology and the preliminary results of the study and promotion of an interactive dialogue between the different stakeholders.
The interventions focused on assessing the trade chapters’ effectiveness, efficiency, coherence and relevance in promoting trade, developing seamless economic and social relations, and meeting the necessary conditions for the gradual liberalization of trade in goods, services and capital between the EU and Morocco, and the promotion of intra-Mediterranean trade as well.
Aside from that workshop, well-known keynotes Moroccan speakers and moderators exchanged information and experiences related to the Moroccan context (economy, competitiveness, sustainable development etc.).
